Southern Highlands Fall Festival 2024: A Day of Family Fun and Community Giving

The 20th anniversary of the Southern Highlands Fall Festival was an unforgettable celebration of family, community, and the magic of fall! Held at the beautiful Goett Family Park, this year’s event brought together hundreds of local families for a day filled with fun, festive activities, and a strong spirit of giving.

A Perfect Fall Day for Festivities

Families were greeted with warm weather and vibrant seasonal decorations as they arrived, creating the perfect autumn atmosphere for a packed day of activities. Halloween-themed inflatables, a rock-climbing wall, an air jumper, and a BINGO station provided endless excitement for attendees of all ages. Kids and parents alike got into the Halloween spirit, with trick-or-treating at vendor booths, face painting, field games, and a pumpkin patch for families to select their ideal pumpkin.

For creative souls, the coloring contest and costume contests were a hit, showcasing the incredible imagination of Southern Highlands’ residents. From classic superheroes and pirates to fairy princesses, witches, and butterflies, the costumes added a colorful touch to the event, with every costume showing off a unique spin on Halloween favorites.

A Tasty Fall Feast with Fan-Favorite Food Trucks

After all the fun and games, attendees had plenty of delicious options to satisfy their cravings. Local food trucks like Vito's Tacos, GoodHood Burgers, and Kono's Hawaii served up mouthwatering dishes, while the Oscar Meyer Wiener Mobile made a special appearance, delighting both kids and adults. The diverse food selection added to the festival atmosphere, giving families a chance to relax and refuel for more festivities.

Spectacular Live Entertainment

The entertainment was just as lively as the crowd! Throughout the day, live performances from talented groups like Las Vegas Circus Center, WorldAcro LV, Ohana Martial Arts, and Southern Highlands’ GOTTA Dance Studio kept everyone amazed and cheering. Adding to the excitement, Fox 5’s Take 5 to Care initiative partnered with the event, with reporters serving as emcees, guiding the crowd through all the thrilling performances and activities.

A Fundraiser for Good

While Fall Festival was all about fun, it also served a higher purpose. Organized by the Southern Highlands Community Association and the Olympia Companies Charitable Foundation, this community event raised $18,000 for two local charities—Andson and the Boys and Girls Club of Southern Highlands. Through raffle ticket sales, donations, and community support, the funds will go toward enhancing youth education and community programs that make a difference in Southern Highlands and beyond.

Looking Forward to Another Year of Family, Fun, and Community

The Southern Highlands Fall Festival continues to be a treasured event, bringing joy, unity, and the spirit of giving to the community each year. As families left with their pumpkins, raffle prizes, and happy memories, it was clear that this 20th anniversary celebration truly captured the essence of Southern Highlands: a place where families come together, friendships are celebrated, and the community gives back.

We’re already looking forward to another amazing Fall Festival next year. Thank you to everyone who joined us, and here’s to many more years of family fun and community spirit in Southern Highlands!
